Personally, I would want something little roomier than a campervan, meself. Although it is substantially more spacious than a VW.

Salad, or Phoning Home.

Am I going to the shop? [on the way home]

Why?

Well, have you decided about dinner?

I thought you wanted salad?

Yes, but are you doing the chicken?

I suppose I could do the chicken.

Well, its chicken salad. Should I go to the shop?

Oh. Well, there should be half a packet of the chips left upstairs.

No.

No?

I ate them.

You ate them?

You ate the other packet.

Well!

Do you want me to go to the shop?

No, there's no point just for chips.

Argh.

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it ...

The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest [we] become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century:
Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others;
Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected;
Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it;
Refusing to set aside trivial preferences;
Neglecting development and refinement of the mind;
Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do.

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

A room without books is like a body without a soul.

My Hero

Pope Benedict said on Monday that saving humanity from homosexual or transsexual behavior was just as important as saving the rainforest from destruction.
(The Church) should also protect man from the destruction of himself. A sort of ecology of man is needed," the pontiff said in a holiday address to the Curia, the Vatican's central administration.

"The tropical forests do deserve our protection. But man, as a creature, does not deserve any less."

The Catholic Church teaches that while homosexuality is not sinful, homosexual acts are. It opposes gay marriage and, in October, a leading Vatican official called homosexuality "a deviation, an irregularity, a wound."

The pope said humanity needed to "listen to the language of creation" to understand the intended roles of man and woman. He compared behavior beyond traditional heterosexual relations as "a destruction of God's work."

He also defended the Church's right to "speak of human nature as man and woman, and ask that this order of creation be respected."

Way to go, Benny darling.

And this is why I am a gay atheist.
